Scientific Research:
Dr. Eivgi’s research lies at the intersection of polymer chemistry, functional materials design, organic synthesis, and catalysis. Her work primarily focuses on exploring the chemical and physical microenvironments that govern material-based chemical reactions, using advanced techniques such as fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy (FLIM).
The research will be organized around two main themes:
1. Functional 3D-Printed Materials at the Micro- and Macroscale
This research theme involves the development of advanced 3D-printed materials with unique properties and functionalities, such as stimuli-responsive behavior, catalytic activity, and molecular imprinting.
, with the goal of optimizing organocatalytic performance within the gels.
2. Development of Fluorescence Microscopy Techniques for Imaging Materials and Chemical Reactions
This theme centers on the application and development of fluorescence-based microscopy and spectroscopy to probe polymer dynamics, investigate reaction mechanisms, and characterize 3D-printed materials.
